Top Trends In Today’s Bathroom Design

Monochrome Style: If you don't like dealing with color schemes, you're in luck: monochrome bathrooms are back in style. Monochrome is easy: choose one color and decorate with different shades of it.

Floating Vanities: More and more homeowners are adding floating vanities to their bathrooms as the trend ditches its “modern only” ties and appeals to all home styles. Floating vanities hide all the plumbing inside, leaving the cabinetry “floating” above the ground. This gives a more spacious, open look to a bathroom.

Freestanding Tubs: Today’s freestanding bathtub adds a ‘spa retreat’ feel to your bathroom. Available in almost any shape, you can find one that fits any decor style.

His & Her Showers: You may have already contemplated doing the double with washbasins to combat the morning bathroom rush. The next step? His and hers showering. Separate a large walk-in space with individual controls and screens.

Marble Walls: Marble will always be in trend and has always been in trend. But a marble accent wall done in large overscale slabs from floor to ceiling can be beautiful. You will want to steer clear of anything that has too much variation in it as that visually will end up making things look very chaotic and may not feel as timeless as it once did when you installed it, but a simple veining in a tonal color combo will always stay classic.

Smart Features: Bathrooms in 2018 are getting “smarter” than ever. We’ve heard about smart toilets with seat warmers, automatic lid openers and the ability to even clean themselves, but tech id now is spreading to the shower and vanity. Smart showers can play your favorite music and remember your ideal water temperature. And the automatic faucets that we’ve grown accustomed to in commercial properties are going residential. That’s a trend that’s both convenient and economical.
